Manassas Art Guild (MAG) – a non-profit group of artists who together are building and maintaining a visible and active visual arts community in Manassas, VA, which promotes participation in, appreciation of, and accessibility to the visual fine arts.
Due to the Covid-19 virus and the state of Virginia’s “stay in the shelter” requirement issued by the governor, all MAG meetings for the rest of the 2020 – 2021 season have been canceled. We will (hopefully) resume meeting in September.
In the meantime, some of us have been meeting via Zoom on the second Thursday of each month. The next Zoom meeting is Thursday, March 11 at 7 PM. Please contact the Zoom meeting coordinator – Peter Smolens at firstname.lastname@example.org and he’ll send you the link. Be prepared to show what you have been working on this year.
Please Note: New Location for the Monthly Meeting
Normally, we meet at Linton Hall School is on the grounds of the Monastery of the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia. The address is 9535 Linton Hall Road in Bristow 20136. The closest crossroad is Sudley Manor Dr. Linton Hall is the site used for some Center for the Arts classes during the winter. The school is set back from the road by two soccer fields. So you will see the sign for the Benedictine Sisters and turn onto a tree-lined lane. The first left turn off the lane will lead to the back of the school. Please park under the lights in the available spaces. We can meet at a back door that has an asphalt path leading to it.
MAG members are on their own to continue painting during this time. Please feel free to share your latest pieces of art via email, during the Zoom meeting and in-person meeting at the Harris Pavillion. It will encourage others to continue painting during this time of shelter in place.
