Art Materials Swap

Calling all artists — you know those art supplies you never use? The ones you bought for a special project, then never touched again? Those colors that looked so perfect, until you actually tried them? Just taking up space, aren’t they? Clean house! Bring them to this year’s eARTh festival, when you can trade them in for something useful, or give them to someone who DOES need them.
The eARTh festival will take place on April 23. In addition to our usual activities, this year we also thought it would be fun to try an “Art Supply Swap.” Even if you aren’t an exhibitor, all artists are invited to bring surplus and unwanted art supplies to the festival, and trade them in for supplies that another artist dropped off. We already have several pieces of mat board and some oil paint supplies that will be up for grabs. Even if you don’t have any supplies to contribute, you can pick some up; just plonk a small amount into MAG’s donation jar, and we’ll call it even.
Please bring only materials which are still in usuable condition (no dried up tubes of paint, please!) Supplies should be dropped off at the festival between 10 and 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. Any supplies not snapped up by 2 pm will be donated to the local schools.
The eARTh festival is located at the Harris Pavilion, 9116 Center Street, Manassas. While you’re there, take some time to visit the exhibitors and admire their creations! For more information, contact Michele Frantz, 703-791-5767, myarcadia@juno.com.
