Warning — unknown artist posting

Just want to warn everyone that a stranger is posting work on our “Buy MAG Art” page. This person is not a member of MAG, and we can’t vouch for him. He is posting under the name “tcartist.” Hopefully we’ll figure out how to remove him soon.

This is an innocent glitch with the way the script is pulled from the ArtByUs server. We pull by membership name = MAG. Unfortunately that means that if the letters “mag” are in the membership name, then that artwork gets pulled also. It just so happens that tcartist is a member of a group that has “mag” in its name.
I am investigating how to fix this and we will get a work around.

Maybe we can go from using “MAG” to using “M.A.G.” to tag our artwork with. This should be sufficient for the script that it will not also pick up “mag” in group names. Should stop this “glitch” in the future also since the characters are more specific with the ‘periods’ in between.

I will give it a try and if it works I will convert it over. I have the most stuff up there so it will largely just effect me. Now is the time to get it right before we started getting more artists putting stuff up.
